Beautiful antique gold watch chain from France, hallmarked in the period 1847-1919. The chain is yellow gold but has a slightly rose gold clasp. The smaller links are somewhat thinner at the contact points as a result of use over the years (see photo 2). A very beautiful chain for the collector who has a soft spot for the history of classic 19th century costumes, or who wants to complement a 19th century gold pocket watch.
