Unique Silver "Covid" earrings, limited and numbered. Constructed in our studio in 2020, based on the design of a local artist who wishes to remain anonymous for now.
The artist wanted to wait making the earrings public until 2021 was over. His/Her explanation is as follows:
"Corona weighs heavy, but love demands we seek insight in the weight we give it" "Where its own weight can strike the vulnerable, the weight assigned to it, is what crushes living." "Like a ball and chain that prevent escape, and like a wrecking ball that breaks connections."
Thanks to their considerable weight of about 6 grams each, these earrings are NOT pleasant to wear for most people. This has a specific reason:
"A symbol that affects human interaction so profoundly, should be worn very consciously. The weight of the earrings is supposed to be a reminder to this consideration."
There are currently only 2 sets available. Ultimately, no more than 10 sets will be available worldwide. The sets are numbered: Set No-01 = black oxidized silver & Set No-02 = plain silver.
